yesterday was my sons birthday party. the house was full of parents and kids, but it went off without a hitch. now for the cleanup. today it has decided to rain :) good thing we had it on Saturday. amazingly enough the house isn't so bad his room got pretty trashed and there is of course dishes, but thats about it. my boy is sitting in my lap as i type this so im guessing he wants to get started. hes my little helper of course. my daughter had a friend stay over night and she will be here for a couple of hours still. so the clean up is up to us.

My own worst critic
I have spent years of my life angry with myself for my poor choices, but I don't have time for self loathing. I'm too busy. Taking care of two young children and working full time isn't easy. Any single parent could tell you that. I know that there will always be those who are critical of me, there are others who will commend me. Honestly I am doing nothing special. I have only taken responsibility where I should have been all along. I know my kids mom loves them shes just not around much. I don't know what she does our where she goes, it's none of my business. The kids miss her

Does fatherhood increase life expectancy?
Fatherhood is the most important role a man can assume. So far no one really understands the effect fatherhood can play on the health of a man. A father may very well effect the health of his children by setting a good example. Eating healthier, and regular exercise. It is expected that in the coming years more research will go into the study of mens health and how fatherhood can effect it and the health of their children. So I can see one day when a trip to the doctor gets questions like... what are your eating habits? Do you have a history of heart disease? Are you actively involved in the lives of your children?
